When you first come to the site you will notice our main page contains the word of the day. These words are posted with their definition. We try to choose one uncommon word per day, 7 days a week to post so you may be learning a new word every day of the week. We encourage people to use these words throughout the day to expand their vocabulary and the knowledge of the people around them.
We also try to post common misused words as the word of the day. People unknowingly use the incorrect word at the wrong moment all the time. Hopefully by doing this, we will be assisting in keeping this embarrassing and horrible mistake from ever happening again!
Our Knowledge is Power section has links to dictionary and writing guides. These books will help you continue to grow and learn in the writing world and knowledge of the English language. All are through Amazon.com which is a safe and trusted site to purchase from.
What is That Word? This section of the site will give you a quick rundown on the different parts of a sentence and word. It defines the simplest parts of a sentence starting with the words themselves. Need to know what an adjective is? Then this is the section of the website to look at.
The Links section will give you even more information. From links to content mill sites that will pay writers to create content to websites that have nothing to do with writing or learning. If we think the site is interesting, funny, creative or just great, you’ll see a link to it on this page.
